Which, while not at all something he actually maneuvered Fives into or planned on, he acquiesced to a lot more rapidly than he might have in other circumstances, for precisely this reason: it makes Fives just as indispensable to the plan as he is to Jedao personally. It removes the need for Jedao to force himself to distinguish between the two, and he is deeply smug about it.
